Knights of Something: new album out on April 1st 2016
Troy Von Balthazar’s 4th studio album was recorded in Berlin and the South of France. He used a combination of an old Tascam 388, tape machine and Protools, a bunch of amazing guitar pedals, and vintage microphones.
It's lo-fi songwriting and recording at it's best, stream of consciousness music structures and powerful lyrics. The songs create a very distinct atmosphere that is really "The TvB sound".
Knights of Something will be released on LP, CD & digital on April 1st 2016:

The Color Bars Experience on tour

Home shows
TvB has toured France for private shows during september-october. Here are a few words from him: The private TvB home shows were fantastic. It was one of the most fun tours I have ever done. The people were all great. I made lots of new friends, had great food and played some great shows. Thanks to all the wonderful people who invited me into their homes.
Documentary
The TvB Documentary Project is a transmedia project about the personality and music of TvB. Follow the project on his Facebook page and watch/listen to exclusive content, like this video of his new song.

Recording
The recording is in the final mixing. The new TvB album should be out in the spring. I'm really happy with the way the songs sound. Each one is directly from a part of my life. It's a special album for me.

TvB contributes to an upcoming book about Nirvana
Troy Von Balthazar is one of the major contributors among the 210 musicians interviewed by Nick Soulsby for his new book "I Found My Friends: The Oral History of Nirvana", to be released on March 31. Sounds like an interesting read for Nirvana and Chokebore fans!

New album
Troy is currently in the middle of recording his next TvB album in his flat in Berlin. He has some nice old machines that are helping him to make it sound good.

TvB is busy working away writing and recording his new album planned for release in 2015 as well as playing his Troy Von Balthazar DJ set in Berlin at the A.P.C. Clothing 10 year anniversary party last week in Berlin and flying to Los Angeles next week for the opening of the newest A.P.C. store on Melrose Avenue.
